MoonPie Mill Auction Rescue #260 comes to the villa

Did you know that mills auctioning to other mills is a business?  I had no clue.  Essentially selling puppies into a life of 'slavery'.

As if the mills selling puppies to stores who in turn sell to families was not bad enough.  This is how I came across MoonPie.  Southwest Auction Service, Wheaton Missouri Mill Auction Catalog #260, on October 17, 2015 she was acquired by a rescue organization in Texas.  I think I saw her for the first time on about the 31st, or at least realized she did not have a forever home.

See as always puppies are a hot commodity.  She was young, but not young enough.  A French Bulldog, but not French enough. Had lived her life in a mill, but not long enough.  So people just missed her.  I had missed her.

Until the "Let's talk about MoonPie" post.  Then I was done for.  My heart broke for this cute, crazy girl and I applied to adopt her.  But alas, there was someone else who had applied sooner and they were going to adopt her.  Or so it seemed, but then came the next email. "Before I started looking at the other applications we received for her I wanted to touch base with you and see how serious you are about wanting her?"

At this point I was done for as long as my Lucca and she got along.  So we headed out to meet her. And the rest, as they say, is history.

So welcome home to the villa sweet MoonPie.  My Sweet Tuscany would have been so happy to meet you, I am sure she is glad you are here.

Catching up with the pack

So many changes have occured since my last post.  But I will be better - I promise!  See how disappointed my Lucca is?  So in an effort to get caught up I am committed to posting a few times a week until I have a full accounting of my whereabouts and the current state of the pack!

Salt Lake City!

So this time it's pleasure and I am returning 'home' for the global doTERRA convention.  I am super excited to see friends and also get the opportunity to see some real fall colors.  So keep your eyes peeled.

On a side note the boxers in all of this are NOT happy with me....

Basel August 2014

Summer heat in Texas, rain showers in Basel. And while I was gone Nibbys puppies turned one, Drew went back to school and Texas waffled between heat wave and flash flooding!

I got the opportunity to do some weekend sightseeing and visited Augusta Raurica. Building started there at about 50AD and there are current escalation activities.  It was just amazing to be able to see and touch something so very old and consider all the others who had seen and touched it before me. Makes you really put things in perspective.

Miami... Hurry up and wait.

What was supposed to be a short layover turned into an adventure.  I got off plane 1 at gate D21 and only had to go to D28 for plane 2.  No problem.  Easy peasy.  Right?

No.  Gate D28 is a hike and a tram ride away from D21.  So I hustle.  Because flight 1 was delayed and arrived late.  Closing my 50 minute window to 30.  But I got this.  I mean really.  I am an intelligent and self sufficient woman.

So I made it to the gate.  People are standing.  This is good.  We must.be ready to board.  Right?  Uh... no.

So I sat down and about 15 minutes later they announced we would be delayed at least an hour.  Why am I not home with the dogs?

Welcome to the villa di Tuscany Miss Palizzi

We have a new kid in the house!  She is a 9 year old lady who lost her brother 6 months ago.  She has fantastic manners and is a happy girl here with Lucca and Calabria.

She is in need of some TLC and will be ready for a home of her own in no time.  She is such a sweet and loving lady and deserves to live out her life with a family who loves her as much as she loves them!

Legacy Boxer Rescue ' s 10th Bday Celebration

I was actually home for this event and got to TAKE handsome Lucca.  He had no idea what we were up to, but luckily he took a nap on the way there.

He had a fantastic time.  My sweet boy got to see his bestie Roarke, and met lots of new friends.  He's quite a ladies man so he kissed lots of girls.

Evidently being this social and chasing the ladies is a little exhausting... so back to napping in the car on the way home!
