Salt Lake City!

So this time it's pleasure and I am returning 'home' for the global doTERRA convention.  I am super excited to see friends and also get the opportunity to see some real fall colors.  So keep your eyes peeled.

On a side note the boxers in all of this are NOT happy with me....

Basel August 2014

Summer heat in Texas, rain showers in Basel. And while I was gone Nibbys puppies turned one, Drew went back to school and Texas waffled between heat wave and flash flooding!

I got the opportunity to do some weekend sightseeing and visited Augusta Raurica. Building started there at about 50AD and there are current escalation activities.  It was just amazing to be able to see and touch something so very old and consider all the others who had seen and touched it before me. Makes you really put things in perspective.

Miami... Hurry up and wait.

What was supposed to be a short layover turned into an adventure.  I got off plane 1 at gate D21 and only had to go to D28 for plane 2.  No problem.  Easy peasy.  Right?

No.  Gate D28 is a hike and a tram ride away from D21.  So I hustle.  Because flight 1 was delayed and arrived late.  Closing my 50 minute window to 30.  But I got this.  I mean really.  I am an intelligent and self sufficient woman.

So I made it to the gate.  People are standing.  This is good.  We must.be ready to board.  Right?  Uh... no.

So I sat down and about 15 minutes later they announced we would be delayed at least an hour.  Why am I not home with the dogs?

Welcome to the villa di Tuscany Miss Palizzi

We have a new kid in the house!  She is a 9 year old lady who lost her brother 6 months ago.  She has fantastic manners and is a happy girl here with Lucca and Calabria.

She is in need of some TLC and will be ready for a home of her own in no time.  She is such a sweet and loving lady and deserves to live out her life with a family who loves her as much as she loves them!

Legacy Boxer Rescue ' s 10th Bday Celebration

I was actually home for this event and got to TAKE handsome Lucca.  He had no idea what we were up to, but luckily he took a nap on the way there.

He had a fantastic time.  My sweet boy got to see his bestie Roarke, and met lots of new friends.  He's quite a ladies man so he kissed lots of girls.

Evidently being this social and chasing the ladies is a little exhausting... so back to napping in the car on the way home!

Planes, trains and automobiles ~ January 2014

Prague (Praha) has been a fantastic trip.  I have met my new team and we have great global diversity.  The team comes from the Ukriane, Georgia (the country - not the state), Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Finland.  They are a fantastic group of men with a weatlh of experiences and knowledge - both work and personal. They ensured that I never got lost (they were very concerned) and that I was well fed.

Last night I met a friend and one of her former roomates in the city at night and we went on a walk across the St. Charles Bridge and through the city.  After we could not stand the cold any longer we stopped for a light dinner and a not so light dessert.  Cafe Louvre was established in 1902.  They say that Einstein would stop there to eat after he lectured in the city.  So maybe today I am a little bit smarter :o)

Dinner was the most fantastic pumpkin soup I have ever had, and desert was (european) hot chocolate with rum and whipped creme.  Friends got cheesecake and ice cream sundaes.  Then we treked back to the metro and I returned to the hotel.  A fantastic end to a very productive week.

Today I leave Prague via a night train.  I leave in the evening and about 13 hours later arrive in Basel, my home for the next 2 weeks.  The upside of the night train is that I do not have to transfer during the trip.

I get to have a relaxing ride through the Czech Republic, Germany, and into Switzerland, and a nights sleep for less than the cost to spend the night at a hotel in Basel, which the thrifty side of me really likes.  The adventurous side is intrigued by the train experience itself.  I will let you know tomorrrow what I think.

Prague, Czech Republic ~ January 2014 (courtesy of British Airlines)

I am thrilled to get the opportunity to visit this beautiful and historic city once again.  Last time I was here I learned so much about the country and it's history.  This time I am looking forward to learn more about the culture and foods of the Czech Republic.

This is the first time I have gone away since Tuscany went to the bridge.  Poor Lucca took up her sulking as I packed and Abria just has no sense so was nonplused.  Lucca is now 'in charge' during my absence and I am not sure he is sold on that yet.  T took being in charge very seriously, however, I think she would NOT be pleased by the fact that I will be gone for 19 dinners.

After a very uneventful flight from DFW to LHR, I am waiting in the BA Lounge in Terminal 3.  Fingers crossed for a timely departure.

My Sweet T

So finishing up 2013 at home with the dogs.  However it's not quite the same.  2013 was the year to say goodbye to my best fur friend Tuscany.
She was simply the best dog ever.  And I will miss her all of the time now.

May the bridge be your playground Sweet T.  Momma loves and misses you ♡♡♡
