The Sunday of my Basel trip I went to Colmar, France where I enjoyed a cafe au lait at a small cafe run by some lovely ladies. There is just something incredibly 'French' about an outside cafe!!
The entire city was decorated for spring. There were colored 'eggs' and flowers displayed everywhere, just like on this fountain.
The architecture was amazing, and one has to wonder if the people who created it, could have in their wildest dreams, guessed it would be standing today...
Later in the day I tried some regional specialties - tarte flambé and some pinot gris.
